Divizend has successfully proven itself in the EDI EXPERIMENT Final Event and is now part of the last, highly exclusive EVOLVE phase. The final event consisted of a technical and a business pitch. We were thus selected into the best 9 of the previous 18 startups. Originally, over 400 startups from all over Europe applied.
The European Data Incubator (EDI) is an incubation program run by 20 partners across Europe. It offers innovative big data startups the opportunity to tackle real business challenges across Europe. On the one hand, there is the option of solving tasks from industrial partners, e.g. to improve road safety in Barcelona or to predict fraudulent transactions in supermarkets. On the other hand, startups were able to bring their own challenges, which is why we as Divizend chose the business case of withholding tax refunds.
We have thus qualified for the grand finale in June, where we will present our idea to leading investors and industry representatives. As a result, we now have the chance to implement our go-to-market strategy with the support of the EDI experts. In the EVOLVE phase, there will continue to be high-quality mentoring, but more on topics in the area of sales rather than on refining the business model and the MVP.
